Firstly, congratulations Trace and guys for the wonderful review on "One Heart"..and well deserved..I first came across Basicband a few months back and was absolutely blown away and gobsmacked by their talent, as songwriters, vocalists and how wonderfully their songs were put together and produced.."One Heart" is one of my faves..and one of the very few songs that I've come across in the past that literally gives me goosebumps..in fact all of the bands compositions effect me this way.. The space, the intimacy, and the overall performance of "One Heart truly makes this song a very emotional and pleasurable listening experience.. and the fact that's it's not over produced adds the icing..I might also add that Trace has one of the most incredible voices that I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.. :) I wish Basicband all the very best and hope they recieve the recognition they deserve..

Love you Trace, and will always love your talent..

The only way this band might be more satisfying to hear would be live. I could hardly wait to buy their 1st album and burn it to CD. Yes, I know the videos are an important part of the artistry, but the audio's comforting messages and Tracy's too-die-for bluesy voice is the balm of Gilead in any situation. Feeling bad? It will lift you up. Feeling sad? It's the true soul music. Feeling great? Your spirit will go aloft, floating on tones you wish could come from your own throat. It's a one-size-fits-all mood elevator. It's legal and it's edifying; it's all that and Scriptural promises of comofort in troubled times. It's soul food without the calories, and I think our Lord must be smiling to see this gift giving back to all who hear this not so basic band.
